Before his work became centred on healing, Gavin spent nearly twenty five years in his family business in London. In 2001, in his thirties and with a young family, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system. Years of intensive treatment followed, culminating in a stem cell transplant in 2003. It was a profoundly life changing period for Gavin and those closest to him.
During this difficult time, Gavin turned towards complementary therapies to support his own post-cancer healing journey. He discovered Reiki for the first time and was struck by the dynamic effect it had on his body. These powerful experiences opened the door to a wider exploration of complementary therapies, alternative approaches and energy-based healing.
In 2013, seeking a path with greater meaning, he stepped away from the family business and began working within social enterprises, supporting military veterans, the global amputee community and personal development programs for corporate clients.
The stillness of 2020 offered space for reflection, Gavin moved from London to Wiltshire and found himself drawn to the ancient landscape and its quieter, enduring rhythms. Immersed in nature, he became increasingly aware of its restorative power.
This reconnection revealed to Gavin that nature was a powerful healer, holder and teacher – offering the gifts of balance, perspective and renewal.
Alongside this shift, Gavin continued to explore healing traditions and spiritual practices from around the world. By 2023, he began offering informal support to friends and family as he deepened his own connection to healing energy. This gradually led to formal Reiki training and, in 2025, he became a registered Reiki practitioner.
His practice is grounded in integrity, curiosity, openness and authenticity. He meets clients where they are, offering gentle energetic healing supported by the grounding influence of the natural world. His work supports those seeking calm, clarity and reconnection during times of change or recovery.
Today, Gavin lives and works on the edge of Savernake Forest, a place of crossing between woodland and open land, that holds deep personal meaning for him. Shaped by centuries of history. This ancient forest holds a rare stillness and presence that many find deeply captivating.
The Savernake Circle Healing Space sits within this landscape. For those who visit, the presence of the forest offers a quiet sense of belonging and grounding, naturally supporting Gavin’s healing work and the people drawn to it.
